SpunOut06 is a non-profit event organised by volunteers that aims to bring together the spinning, juggling and fire arts community from Perth (and beyond) for a weekend of fun, workshops, dancing and fire. Whether you are new to this community or a professional performer, the weekend aims to cater to all levels of skill and abilities.
There are a number of regular fire and related events around Perth's suburbia where you can learn tricks, buy or sell gear, swap stories, hang out, or just watch. The folks who run and attend these events are very friendly and very helpful. We welcome all twirlers and interested people.
Safety note: Please be aware that fire is dangerous, and playing with fire is especially dangerous. We all urge you to take heed of any warnings that are given by anyone teaching you any new technique or trick. Don't be afraid to ask how dangerous something is, either. There is no such thing as a stupid question when it relates to the safety of yourself and those around you.
These events are usually free, although if you see a tin next to the fuel, please donate a gold coin or two towards the replacement of the fuel. Fuels to burn are not expensive, but they are not free, either. Simply attending and learning, however, is definitely free!
